Kati Marton was born on 4 February 1956. She is an American author and journalist. Her career has included reporting for ABC News as a correspondent and National Public Radio, where she started as a production assistant in 1971-20s and print journalism and writing several books.
She studied at the Sorbonne and the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris. Growing up in Hungary, she had a French nanny, so she was raised speaking both Hungarian and French, U.S. English teacher when her family moved to the United States.
Her first husband was Carroll Wetzel, now a retired international investment bank from Philadelphia. Jennings and Marton had two children together. 13 August 1993 public Jennings and Marton were divorced in Newsday.
