Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Leave the Hospital: First Look!

Finally heading home as one big happy family, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were seen leaving UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, California with their twins on Saturday (May 14).

With the first photos of the new mom and dad together just having been released, the elated mom and dad were all smiles as they drove away from the hospital with babies Moroccan and Monroe in toe - nearly three weeks after their premature birth (April 30).

Mariah took to her Twitter to gush about their happy homecoming, writing, “Dembabies aka Roc+Roe are sleeping peacefully: )”

Furthermore, proud papa Nick revealed an interesting tid-bit about the newborns arrival into the world, telling "My wife wanted to make sure that when the babies came out, that they came out not only to a Mariah Carey song, but a live performance from Mariah Carey - her Madison Square Garden performance of Fantasy - so they came out to a round of applause."

Mariah Carey And Nick Cannon Name Their Babies…

It’s official, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have named their babies Monroe Cannon & Moroccan Scott Cannon!

Well we knew that both babies’ names were going to start with the letter ‘M’ because Mariah had tweeted out a teaser yesterday and today they revealed their names.

Mariah gave birth to the twins on April 30th, which also happened to be her and Nick’s 4th wedding anniversary. Obviously there were quite a few people eagerly waiting to hear what the babies were named since as soon as Mariah tweeted out the names her web site crashed! 


I heard she named their son Morrocan because that’s the name of their NYC apartment and he’ll be called Roc for short!  What do you think of the twin’s names?!

BREAKING: Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Welcome Their Twin Babies!

Congratulations are in order for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon! The happy couple welcomed their boy and girl twins today at 12:07 p.m. at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles. Mariah‘s personal rep Cindi Berger, confirmed the births to The Associated Press saying:

“The baby girl was born first, weighing 5 lbs., 3 oz., and was 18 inches long; her brother was next, at 5 lbs. 6 oz., and was 19 inches.”

The couple has quite a bit to celebrate, not only did they become first time parents, they are also celebrating their third anniversary today! People.com asked Berger whether the birth was planned to coincide with their anniversary and she said:

“No, not even Mariah could plan that.”

Apparently Mariah and Nick listened to “We Belong Together” right after the babies were born! Berger gave PEOPLE some more details saying:

“Nick was very nervous and Mariah was completely calm. Mariah thought it was another soft labor and Nick was driving her to the hospital and she very calm and the music was blasting,” she added. “When they walked into the hospital, [Nick] was going the wrong way and they nurse redirected them to go the maternity ward, and I said to her, ‘that’s right out of I Love Lucy,’ and she laughed.”

I am SO excited for them! No names have been released to the press yet although Cannon did say back in January that they were aiming for unique – not wacky.

Mariah Carey’s latest epic, nude tabloid photo shoot: cheesy or awesome?

Last week, we got to see Mariah Carey’s epic, naked pregnancy photo on the cover of Life & Style. Many criticized Mariah for giving (selling?) the photos of L&S, one of the most budget tabloids, but considering she also gave L&S the exclusive on the babies’ genders, I think Mariah probably has an existing relationship with someone at the mag or something. Anyway, this week’s gem comes via the British OK! Magazine - even more naked pregnant photos, this time with Nick feeling up his lady. Oh, Mariah. I LOVE YOU.

There are a few excerpts from the OK! Mag piece, and of course it’s all Mariah:

    Mariah says: “You can tell the personalities a bit. In viewing our ultrasounds, our boy is all ready like Nick, like, ‘Here I am, take my picture or don’t, and our girl is coyly facing the other way, like, ‘No pictures,’ waiting for a proper debut. I took some ultrasound footage of them in the womb that I think they’ll definitely find interesting later in life.”

Look, I know some of you might think these photos are cheesy and gross and weird and creepy and all kinds of wrong, but you know what? It’s Mariah, bitches. She wants us to celebrate her love and her babies and her life, and I for one am celebrating. She’s magnificent. Budget and magnificent.

Mariah Carey almost had birthday babies! The singer rushed to the hospital last night because she started having contractions, but it turns out her twins weren't quite ready to make their debut.

She tweeted in the flurry of rushing to the ER: "really wanted 2 celebrate w/us/share the anniversary! I started having contractions last night..went 2 the hospital."

Ms. Carey later wrote: "They almost came on 3/27- happy anniversary in deed!!! We have a few more weeks 2 go but- wow!!!: ) #soreadyallready!"

(We'd like to note that Mariah's birthday is March 27, not her anniversary, but, hey, whatever!)

Her hubby Nick Cannon is gearing up for the birth of the babies, and is a little nervous about the big day. He tweeted last week: "I am probably going to faint in the delivery room! I need to man up! Or maybe I should say WOMAN UP since they are the ones that have to be the strongest in the whole ordeal! I am in awe of my wife!"

Mariah Carey Talks Pregnancy On Nick's Radio Show

She held the world waits anxiously for confirmation, and now Mariah Carey has admitted her pregnancy, she is talking details too. The "Always Be My Baby" singer recently called her husband's radio show, "Rollin 'with Nick Cannon", and told him "Right now , I feel nausea and fatigue. "

Like many expecting mothers do, Carey sounded a little tucker out and tired during the interview aired Cannon. Plugging away at her upcoming Christmas album "Merry Christmas II," Mariah says that she will hopefully have a relaxing break during the New Year.

Mariah Carey collaborated with Extreme Makeover

Becoming a part of the team that dramatically change people's lives, worked with Mariah Carey "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" earlier this week.

"Touch My Body" babe visited Baker High School in Baker, Florida, Monday, Octmber 18 to announce the latest winner of ABC's life changing makeover.

With the show airing Decmber 12 Carey was all smiles when she surprised cheerleading coach Finis Gaston give her the exciting news.

Take her to the Twitter wall, Mariah wrote, "It's great down here Baker HS w   Extreme Makeover Home Loving Ty, Michael, Tracy, Johnny all the children at school in Gaston family."
