Carey Mulligan: Back to Brunette
She usually touts crimson or blonde locks, but yesterday (May 17) Carey Mulligan was spotted with a chocolate brown coif.
The “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” babe headed out into New York City with director Baz Luhrman looking almost unrecognizable.
However, it turns out Carey actually prefers the darker tresses, as she had to go blonde for a film role back in 2009.
Back then she told press, "I hate my hair. After An Education, I had a small part inMichael Mann's film Public Enemies and he wanted me to dye it white blonde, and it wrecked my hair. Literally, ruined it. It was falling apart, fried. So I had to cut it off. I cried."
