CBS Lands First Obama Interview Since Bin Laden Death

CBS Lands First Obama Interview Since Bin Laden Death

Just two days after he announced the death of Osama Bin Laden, CBS' "60 Minutes" has officially secured the first interview with President Barack Obama.

The network has just confirmed the White House sit-down, which is to be conducted by journalist Steve Croft and broadcast Sunday, May 8 at 7:00PM ET.

The program stands to boast high viewership for the segment, as it will be the very first time the commander in chief will field questions in regards to the killing of Bin Laden.

Obama announced late last Sunday (May 1) that the al Qaeda leader was killed during a raid by U.S. Navy Seals at a compound in Abbottabad, close to Pakistan's capital of Islamabad.

As could be expected, contrary reports are also emerging, with Pakistani forces apparently telling Chinese officials that they killed bin Laden while others claim that Osama was actually gunned down by his own people.
